Bespoke

From sketch to your finger.

A piece that exists nowhere else, designed with you and made at our bench.

The three steps

  1. Hands sketching jewellery on paper, beside a ring in a box
    I

    Sketch

We meet in the workshop over a coffee. You tell us what you love: a piece you saw, a stone from your grandmother, an idea. We sketch together on paper until you recognise it.

  2. Hands filing a blue wax ring at the bench
    II

    Wax

We carve the ring in wax, in your size. You wear it, see it on your hand, and we change anything you like before we touch the gold.

  3. A ring being soldered with a torch on a block
    III

    Gold

We cast it in 18 carat gold, set the stone, then file and polish it by hand. It is usually ready 4–6 weeks after the sketch.

For the first appointment.

  • Photos of jewellery you like.
  • A ring that fits you, for the size.
  • Old gold or stones, if you would like us to reuse them.

Questions

How much does it cost?

It depends on the stone, the gold and the work. After the sketch we give you a written price, and we start nothing until you agree.

How long does it take?

Usually 4–6 weeks. If you have a date, for an engagement or a wedding, tell us at the start.

I do not know the size. What do I do?

Bring a ring you already wear. If it is a surprise, we work it out together, and if it does not fit, we make it the right size.

Can I bring my own gold or stone?

Yes. We look at them together and tell you what can be reused.

Let us design it together.

The first appointment commits you to nothing.
